Who and where • Allison Rabbitt of the Dutchtown West neighborhood at Roadside America, an 8,000-square-foot indoor miniature village and railway in Shartlesville, Pa.

The trip • Rabbitt and her husband visited her family in southeastern Pennsylvania in July. She took him to the touristy sites she loved as a child.

Travel tip • Shartlesville is home to many Amish families. If you’ve never tried shoofly pie before, consider it a must! It is made with molasses and is the density of a moist cake. It’s very sweet, so share a piece with a friend. You can find many Amish delicacies at local restaurants or at the myriad farm stands in the area. Be prepared to share the road with tractors or Amish buggies, too.

Contribute • Email your photo to stlpost@gmail.com. Include the full names of everyone in the photo, including where they are from and where you are standing in the photo. Also include your address and phone number. Please also tell us a little about the trip and a travel tip. We’re looking for interesting, well-composed, well-lighted photos.
