On asking him about his secret to making it as a travel photographer, he said: “I’m not sure about many things still, like what I’ll do and how, but well- I really want to go places and see people. I want my mind to grow. I want to live where things happen on a big scale. And I’m telling you, once the travel bug bites, trust me, there is no antidote; and I know that I shall be happily infected until the end of my life.” He even mentioned a couple of his peers whose work he greatly adores: “I love Audtiya and Nimit Nigam’s work and take inspiration everyday.”
Starry nights, milky waterfalls, sweeping landscapes – his pictures instantly transport you to the gorgeous locales.
His pictures reflect his style: unique and free. Watch out for the use of props in his photos.
This Documentary photographer has a crazy way with angles. They sort of send your head in a twirl.
Talking about his tactic of travel photography, he said: “I think to be successful you need to travel a lot and also experiment with your style. Travel photography covers almost everything so one needs to be versatile. It’s a bit like journalism – a journalist smells and chases a story there, and I do the same with light. Having said that, since I also write on travel extensively, I talk extensively with people I meet and also that helps to make the pictures more natural and less posed.” He especially likes the work of a buddy photographer – Anirudh Choudhary, because “his work is lovely and very travel focused.”
