Top getaways on offer at today
Top deals on great holidays will be on offer at the 21st Scunthorpe Telegraph Holiday and Travel Show today.
The event will help those looking to banish the January blues by booking a trip away to find their perfect break.
The annual show, which is one of the Scunthorpe Telegraph’s most popular events, is taking place at the Wortley House Hotel from 10am to 3pm and entry is free.
It will include offers and ideas for everyone looking for travel opportunities close to home or further afield, whether they have got their eyes on caravan or camping breaks, coach holidays or weekend local getaways.
Exhibitors at the show will include PC Coaches, Buckley’s, Alfa Travel, Hough’s of Lincolnshire, Humberside Airport, Wilfreda Beehive and Clee Mobility.
The 20th event, held last year, was a huge success and saw hundreds of people go through the doors at the Wortley House Hotel to bag their perfect holiday.
Visitors and companies at last year’s show were full of praise for the event.
Speaking at the event, Scotter couple Von and Keith Cook said they had been coming to the holiday show for the past 10 years and were looking for an Easter break to book.
They said: “It is absolutely fantastic – we give it 10 out of 10. It gives you the opportunity to see things and speak to people. We make a day of it.”
Jane Bailey, manager of PC Coaches, said: “It is the best show we attend without a shadow of a doubt. It is a great showcase for our business. People come from all over and they come here to socialise as well. It is a lovely atmosphere and people come year after year.”
Scunthorpe Telegraph’s events manager Kimberley Spauls said: “The Holiday Show is back for its 21st year. We are pleased to announce that as well as many regular exhibitors, we have some great new additions to this year’s event.”
